Kentucky Lake is the largest body of water located between the Gulf of Mexico and the Great Lakes. Covering over 250 square miles with over 2,000 miles of shoreline, it is the largest man-made lake East of the Mississippi River.
At 184 miles long and 1.5 to 2 miles wide, the lake is a prime area for fishing and watersports. Because of its crappie and bass fishing opportunities, Kentucky Lake hosts several major fishing tournaments each year.
Many resorts and marinas in Henry County offer boat rentals, bait/tackle, wave runners, and more to visitors.
